PVS Kalamkari makes organic Kalamkari products. Their process is organic and almost all the waste is reused.
The brief was to design a logo that represents the true form of the Kalamkari method of Block Printing and at the same time be unique to the firm.
The idea behind the logo, made in collaboration with Tanvi Dhanecha, represents a sparrow which is an ode to Pitchuka Srinivas, the father of Varun Pitchuka who runs the firm. Pitchuka Srinivas's name translates into a sparrow. The details of the sparrow are patterns taken from images of Kalamkari printed fabric provided by Varun Pitchuka.
